Q:
I have been told it is safe to drink directly from the tap. So, why do I need  to filter my drinking water?

A:
It is expensive and impractical to completely eliminate all pollutants at the water treatment plant. Even after water has been treated and filtered to become tap water, problems may still occur enroute to your home - such as bacteria contamination through broken pipes and rust found in water storage tanks.

For more information, please see the article How Safe Is Our Drinking Water?.

We can additionally eliminate pollutants from the water coming into our homes by filtering it at the point-of-use.
